I’m the co-founder and CEO of World Chess (LSE:CHSS), the company reinventing how chess looks, feels, and lives in the world. My work is equal parts design obsession and storytelling experiment—turning a centuries-old game into something that belongs in a club, on a screen (both trading and TV), not just a board.
I run World Chess full-time from Berlin and London, but occasionally step out of the chess bubble. I meet with founders, designers, and companies to swap ideas on growth, culture, and how to make things people actually care about. If you have a chess idea—or just a strange, good idea—ping me.

Chess finally has a Patron Saint — and not a mythical nymph or a marketing mascot, but the real thing. In 2025, with the Catholic Church’s blessing, World Chess re-introduced Saint Teresa of Ávila as the game’s protector.
Every game that matters has a visual language. For years, chess didn’t. That’s why we commissioned designer Sasha Koltsov to create a typeface exclusively for World Chess — sharp, modern, and unapologetically bold.
